I bought 2 fishes with 250yen. I hardly to get 2 fish with this price, otherwise those fishes already been cleaned and cut. I am thinking it is a good time to teach about the “2 fishes and 5 loaves Jesus story”. So today we did this.
I reckon, this is a good session. These 2 boys love it so much and keep say this is fun! But is another load for me as to clean up the fishy smell and blood stain with the limited time. ><” not easy really not easy… now I know why I lost my voice and having sore throat.
Mummy : “Jesus is so loving and good huh! He provides our daily needs. What you think that He can do for us???”
Ethan : “Jesus wants to scare us…”
Mummy : “Scare us???!!! Why you said so oh???”
Ethan : “He suddenly make so many fish. Five thousand fish leh…. this is uncountable…”
I am trying to explain to Ethan about the miracle that Jesus had done and He is extraordinary, as He is God. And Ethan think that is to scare him. I can’t stop laughing. Teaching them, sometime really vomit blood. But somehow, this kids can be very lovely and cute too. Ethan very concern about the fish mouth and whether the fish has teeth or not and why the fish doesn't have eye lids. Emmanuel is very concern about the fish eyes and keep poke the fish eye till become a hole only. Emmanuel really like any eyes. If we make bento, surely he eat the eye first then anything else and also always want to poke Egracia eye too.
Basically I have to break this into 2 sessions. First half, with Emmanuel together when Egracia was sleeping. Then continue another half after Emmanuel sleep. Reason being is if I would let Emmanuel to join the second half, the situation will be out of control a little at this stage.

We were so lucky, this fish has eggs in the stomach and is good to let him understand how the fish lay egg. Oh yeah, another thing Ethan very curious is about how animal give birth and lay eggs. He favorite question is "If the animal keep lay egg and lay egg and lay egg non stop." I try to answer him, but he is not satisfied with it. He wants the answer something like "If they keep lay eggs then the stomach will burst or the stomach will become very very very big!"
Eventually we eat these 2 fishes at night. And I also understand why it cost 250yen only. It is full of tiny bone and very difficult to eat.
2 Fishes and 5 loaves Story
One bright day Jesus took his apostles into the desert to teach them privately... However, as they went the people heard and started to follow them.
The sick, the weary of heart, and the curious followed into the desert hoping for miracles or just simply to understand; Jesus welcomed all of them. He told them about the kingdom of God and healed them of their sicknesses… Many hearts were changed that day!
As the sun began to set in the west, his apostles began to worry. “Lord shouldn’t we send the people away…so they can find food and a place to sleep?”
Jesus looked at them and said, “Give them food and let them eat.” “But Lord, we don't have anything to give... There is only a boy who has only five loaves and two fishes, should we go into the town and buy more food?There are five thousand men here, not including the women and children,” they answered.“No, just go and make them sit down in groups of fifties.” Jesus said with a sparkle in his eye.So that’s just what the apostles did. They wondered what Jesus was planning on doing.
When everyone was quiet and settled down in their groups Jesus looked towards heaven, all the people grew silent. Jesus took the five loaves and the two fishes praying, He blessed the food and asked God to do a miracle. Jesus began to break the food into pieces and gave it to His apostles to give it to the people. Everyone was sitting in wonder as they watched the miracle enfold before their eyes. They sat and ate the meal in awe and felt blessed. It was a miracle!
When all the people were full, and everyone had eaten some, the apostles collected the leftovers and there were twelve baskets of food left! Jesus fed the multitude of more than 5,000 people that day!!!
