Pre-Hokkaido

The day before we departure to Hokkaido, we made 2 small booklets together for our journal writing.

Mummy : "We going to write our journal for this trip. In this small little book, you can draw or you can write anything about the trip. It can be something you see or how you feel or anything special."
Ethan : "Yeah... !!! Hmmm....I don't know what will happen."
Mummy : "My dear, then tomorrow you will going to know what will happen..."
Emmanuel : "Yeah, we are going to Hokkaido loh!"
Ethan : "Yeah.... "
Mummy : "Lets' give some decoration to this little book!"

Ethan and Emmanuel happily put on some stickers and start to imagine about the trip. They stick luggage, some letters, some ballons, some flowers....

My dearest darling Egracia, I promise when you grow bigger, I will make one for you too for our next journey we spend together.

Browsing through and through on the journal after the trip, I could still feel the happiness and excitment from their drawing. Probably they could only remembered about 20% of the journey for now, e.g. at the Takino park running and rolling the big red ball, the very yellowish sunflowers hill, valcano museum experience the shake of land and hopping on the hotel, the red and white Airasia.

It always good to have the ideas to work out something with kids. In order to get the thing done will be equally important and crucial. To me, I will said "to get the thing done" is a very challenging portion. We can take charge of bringing out the idea, we could be skillful and knowledgable, but for early childhood learning and growing, kids indeed need more love and physical accompaniment than any others. In real life, coming to those time our hands always seem tight.

For the journal writing, we were trying to assist them to jot down the thing we saw, the feeling and about the journey. Somehow we only manage to jot down about 60% to 70% out of it. With this little thing to do, it seem so much of commitment required from us.

Afterall, we hope those happiness and joyful moment we spent together will dwell in their heart forever.
