Day 1 Departing Hokkaido Sapporo

Day 1. 1-Aug, 2012, Wednesday.

Ever since we were in Japan, we always thought of going to Hokkaido again. But for now, the flight ticket to cover 5 of us just too pricy. Few 3 weeks before our departure date, Airasia just launch the route from Tokyo to Hokkaido New Chitose. 2 weeks before our departure date, we finally make up our mind and decide to make a move! Full of excitement! Immediate after the tickets had booked, thousand of questions started to pop up. How much should we budgeted for this trip, accommodation for 5 of us, how we move around in Hokkaido, meals for Egracia, destination, what if either one of us fall sick during the journey, what if we are really exhausted, how much luggage is good enough for mobility. Going through the questions it seems we were too ambitious and trying to challenge our limits by bringing these 3 little ones together. The dates was too close, our hands were tight. Definitely, if without them the journey will totally different story.
Now by hook or by crook we have to make it happened. 1roller laugage, 1 backpack, 1 hangbag, diapers, some instant food for infant below 9 months and we go! Sapporo we are coming...

730am from Home
840am to 1000am Express train to Narita Airport
1115am departure to Hokkaido (after 30 mins delay)

When we reached Narita Airasia check in counter, it was so crowded. Long queue with lot of red shirt people showing the signboard, then camera man and reporters were there too. And then a video man following the kids that jumping around the airport and pushing on the luggage. The camera man following the kids since we were checking in the counter. The Airasia assistance purpose came and explain it to the kids on the procedure and this and that. Taking up quite some minutes there. Till we finish loading everything and said goodbye with the camera. After we returned to Tokyo, Laikiat's collegue purposely drop an email to tell him that he saw us in the TV on that day! Hmmm... but not sure what was happened in the TV about us. I hope it not the worst part of how the kids ruin the airport.

We were so excited, especially the boys.

Narita train station to Sapporo

Susukino walking streets. 2011 winter Laikiat, Ethan and me were here. All over covered by snows, snow storm during that time and it was freezing cold, so difficult to move around. I fell down few times on the road as it was too slippery.

Ever since tried the sweets corn at ' ' park, then we start to fall in love with this Hokkaido sweet corn and keep following it pace wherever we in Hokkaido.

Emmanuel always wanted to plug flowers for the mummy. Of course we it prohibited!
Mummy : "Didi, see but don't plug the flowers...."
Emmanuel scream and run away...

Without any special itinerary, and we walk around the Odori park, and so happened there was a beer festival celebrating in Sapporo. We joint the crowd and settle our dinner there. Stew beef with Daicon, oiishi-so!

The most memorable part of this day was, when we checked in the hotel and found out the hotel we booked only for twins and witout any bed can be fit in to this small room. Trying to get another room to settle 5 of us, but all the room are full. At the end, we bought a mobile bed and make our own triple bed.

We call it a day!
