Day 7- Lake Toya

Day 7, Lake Toya. Tuesday.

Lake Toya depicted as following:

Volcanic eruptions are certainly frightening. However, is that the only thing we know about them?
The area known as Lake Toya and Mt. Usu sits on an active volcano which experienced at least four erptions in the 20th century alone.

Despite the danger, people keep living in the area which attracts many tourists: diverse and spectacular landscapes; rich land and beautiful ocean coast; and hot springs to relax in.

Since the prehistoric times of the Jomon and the Ainu peoples. this land has always provided for man, thanks to the riches given by the volcano. The main theme of this Geopark is "Coexistence with the ever-changing earth".
How did local people survive past disaster while enjoying the blessings of the volcano? Visit Lake Toya and Mt. Usu and gain insights into the immeasurable power of geological forces and the ingenuity of human ability to live side by side with the mountain of fire.

A quote from the Valcano meuseum

~Living with the ever-changing Earth~
We are powerless before the wrath of a volcano. But we must accept and live with the nature. The extensive knowledge we gained in recent times will faciliate a future where we can manage eruption events better. We are resolved to go on living with the ver-changing earth.

Free and easy of the day. Picnic at Lake Toya, water play, swam boat and feed the fishes.

We like this place. Nice view, relaxing hotel with hot springs and experience the volcano simulatoin in the Valcono meuseum. Although this ever-changing land veil with uncertainy of life threatening, but it test the ability of the people in Japan to deal with it. The houses sustainable with the shake, computerize system to detect the earth quake for the transport system, so on and so forth. Somehow it built the country and people. Japanese believe that they could use oneself willpower to go through those challenge, barrier of life. They established the most wonderful culture, try to be the most polite people by their language, develop the most hi-technology system in the world. Having said that, natural power is still something that we can not defend on. What will happen next, no one knows. Life goes on... Trust on God, hold on the faith live with the love and grow the hope.

In this night, during the firework session. When I look up the sky and I said "Will I see the meteor star" and then immediate there was one flying through. Ethan and Daddy saw that too. We all shouted! Then I asked again, "will we see another one?!" Hah! then the second meteor went by! So I I asked the 3rd one........... waited for long... and wait and wait....
