At Meiji Shrine

2013 first sun ray beam break through the morning, 6.45am.

Japanese celebrating 1-January as their New Year. They called the first month of the year as 正月(shon gatsu). It has always been a very special and important holiday in Japan. It is a time for family members to get together. Japanese welcomes the god and view the first sunrise of the New Year and prays for health, happiness and prosperity during the coming year.

In this day, Japanese used to go to the local Shinto shrine or Buddhist temple during the New Year;s holiday.

Daddy got the holiday, and so we joining the local crowd to Meiji Shrine. NOT for the worshiping, but for the FOOD. There were a lot of temporary nice food stores set up for the visitor! And we settle our lunch over there.

Ethan always likes the Yakisoba.

Emmanuel always like to eat meat! Any kind of meat and the skin.

粽子!nice too. But seems a bit costly. 400yen!

by 5pm, we walk out from the Meiji Shrine food stores. We happily fill our stomach with the local food. Following the crowd walk towards the street and heading to Shinjuku train station. Immediately step out from the Meiji Shrine, a man holding a light board showing,

"God loves us and take away our sins."
"There is no salvation other than Christ"

We felt the touch by seeing so. Should it be really effective by holding the light board and standing in front of the Meiji Shrine to send out the message? Thousands of passer by passed by him..... Why he wanted to do so?

This really make me ponder.....

In bible said, salvation can not be earn...

I believe it's telling us that we can't be 'saved' by our works, but we are suppose to live within God for a true life, obtain strength for our daily life in the world. God is holy, means sinless. His is justice, that he will always be true to his standards and must seperate himself from sin. He is almighty and sovereign over his creation. Man was created to have a close relationship with his Creator, but when sin entered the picture, things change drastically.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)". I believe it is telling us, God understood our difficult in the world. And He opted to live with us as a role model to face the problem together. so Jesus Christ was here bore our sins. For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous. He put to detah in the flesh but mad alive in the spirit.

In the bible scriptures teach about what man is like. For those willing to turn to him will able to get the salvation. Repent and it just like be born again. And obey God's commentment as a guideline and sanctify our life. Through this, we will not easily lost our faith of life and easily tempted to be sin but attracted by the rightouness.  Subsequently, pursuit to LOVE, TRUST, SUBMIT.....
